Zenfone Max Pro M1 was build for any of you who like gaming, with large view and battery, its every gamers phone dream. I also using my Zenfone max Pro for gaming, but some time i has difficult when i need to take a screenshoot, push vol - and power button in same time a little bit difficult. If you have same problem with me, i read some tutorial How to Costumize Navigation bar on Zenfone Max Pro M1.
Before we start, you need to download below files first. ( you can skip if you already have one )
Material;
1. Custom Navigation Bar [PRO]
2. Minimum ADB Tools
3. Android USB Driver
4. Custom NavBar ZenUI 5.0
After finish download All items, we can continue to nex step.
1. Install Android USB Driver, right-click the file android_winusb.inf then click Install.
2. Install the Minimal ADB Tools that you downloaded earlier.
The installation folder will be located at "C: \ Program Files \ Minimal ADB and Fastboot"
3. Open the Minimal ADB and Fastboot folders located in "C: \ Program Files \ Minimal ADB and Fastboot", then press Shift + Right-click button in an empty area and click "Open Command Prompt Here"
4. In Command Promt, type adb devices then enter, if shown your serial number device means your are good to go,.
if not shown your device serial number, like below picture means you need to activate developer option on your setting and turn on USB debug. Once you done try again
5. Type adb shell press enter, then the $ symbol will show the shown.
6. Move Custom Navigation Bar application file to your device and Install it. After installed open the application.
7. Then type as mention on aplication pm grant xyz.paphonb.systemuituner android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS press enter
8. Then type exit enter and type exit again to close the command prompt.
You are done with your Laptop, now we move to your Zenfone Max Pro M1. Before start, application will ask you to do some test, to make sure your phone was compatible with your phone.
Now , open Custom Navigation Bar application, follow the instruction until you reach the main page. You will find a lot of menu as below :
1. Navigation Bar;
(1.a) Layout : You can choose Normal - Compact - Left - Right - Center
(1.b) Inverted (enable if you want to swap the Back button to the right)
(1.c) Normalize Button Size (to reposition layout / size)
(1.d) Rotate Suggestion (to display the automatic rotation icon in the lower left corner when the smartphone is tilted, this is a feature on Android P)
(1.e) Theme (choice of NavBar themes)
(1.f) Experimental Tweaks (to customize button functions and change icons )
(1.g) Immersive mode (to hide NavBar and Status Bar)
(1.h) Extra left and Extra right button (to add extra buttons)
Now we try to change the NavBar;
Put you Custom NavBar ZenUI 5.0 you has been download before, extract and move to SDCard // Pictures // or Internal memory inside picture folder.
keep this file on your phone.
Then next step:
1. Enter the Navigation Bar menu
2. Then the Theme, select Invisible (then NavBar will disappear, no need to panic, it can still be touched)
3. Return, and enter Experimental Tweaks. Now here are 3 button menus with their respective functions. Then to change the way icon;
(for the Back button)
Type> set it to Keycode (there will be a Keycode menu below it)
Keycode> set it to Back
Icon> select Browse file, and look for the icon from folder we has been prepared before
(for the Home button)
Type> set it to Keycode
Keycode> set to Home
Icon> select Browse file and look for the icon
(for the Recent Apps button)
Type> set it to Keycode
Keycode> set it to App Switch
Icon> select Browse file and look for the icon
4. Then how to change the Back button to the right? Easy! In the Navigation Bar menu, enable the Inverted feature.
5. If you want to change the icon, you can change with any icon you like .
